Tiffany & Co. (NYSE: TIF) today celebrated the opening of an approximately 1,600-square-foot boutique in the Entetsu department store, located at 320-2 Sunayama-cho, Naka-ku, Hamamatsu, a major city on Honshu island.
In his remarks, Mike Christ, president of Tiffany Japan, said, “With the opening of this new boutique, we honor Tiffany’s new partnership with Entetsu department store, Hamamatsu’s premier destination for luxury shopping. The boutique’s exterior combines granite and marble with a modern, varicolored glass pattern and stainless steel details that reflect the Art Deco-inspired façade of Tiffany’s famous New York flagship store. The interior, which includes private sales salon, is distinguished by Makore wood paneling, stainless steel framed showcases and vitrines, custom furnishings in a sophisticated blue and brown color palette, and handmade rice paper wall coverings.
In addition to a lavish array of exquisite Tiffany diamonds in platinum and eighteen-karat gold settings, the boutique showcases the collections of exclusive Tiffany designers Elsa Peretti, Paloma Picasso, Jean Schlumberger and Frank Gehry; fine and bridal jewelry; sterling silver and gold fashion jewelry; watches, gifts and accessories.
The new boutique brings the total number of Tiffany’s Japan locations to fifty-seven.
